Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up in Novi Sad, which is the second largest city in Serbia. Novi Sad is a beautiful city just north of the Danube river, and it is filled with rich history and culturally important places to visit.
Q: What got you interested in Mixed Martial Arts?
A: Growing up I was introduced to judo and karate by my father, who was a police officer at that time. I fell in love with judo when I was 11 years old.
Q: What did you study in school? What was your favorite subject?
A: I went to culinary school for hotel and restaurant management, but my favorite subjects were always history and geography.
Q: What do you do to prepare for your fights?
A: I prepare for my fights by training 2-3 times per day for several hours each session. My training includes wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, kick boxing and of course strength and conditioning training.
Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t training?
A: When I’m not training, I like to spend time outdoors connecting with nature, watching movies, and relaxing with a good book. I also love to cook for my friends.
Q: What is your favorite city in the world?
A: I have two: Novi Sad and New York City.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: I find my inspiration in every day life, whether it be a homeless person on the street, a good song or movie, and the success of my close friends and training partners.
Q: Do you have any resolutions for the New Year?
A: To be undefeated in 2016 and to get to the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
